Cyrus Makarechian has owned and operated DARKPLACE Manufacturing in Portland, Oregon, since 2010. His position with the surface mount technology manufacturing company involves oversight of all instrument design efforts. Cyrus Makarechian is also the owner of CSMAKAR, LLC, a Los Angeles-based investment company. He expanded his professional activities in 2009, joining Globexplore Drilling as a director, shareholder, board member, and early investor. The Hermosillo-based operation has grown from two drills into one of Mexico’s leading mineral exploration groups.

Mr. Makarechian serves in a variety of additional leadership positions. He became the owner and chief executive officer of Moddtech in 2015 and in 2017 founded Lend Me It, a peer-to-peer lending and renting platform that he continues to lead as president and chief executive officer. He is also the vice chairman of CPH Inc., and the owner and chairman of Onyx Record Press, a vinyl record production and manufacturing plant in Los Angeles. In addition to overseeing financial decisions at the vinyl record plant, he maintains a personal interest in areas of electronic music production.
